He is the youngest on my father’s side. I am 13 years older so it has never been a typical brother sister situation. Our father passed away less than a year ago. He died young because he used drugs, and drank ALLOT. He had been clean and sober for 2 years when he died. My brother was his only son and he was only 20 when our father died. Early on in life I drank and used too. I was clean and sober 4 months when I learned I was pregnant and I never looked back. I have been clean and sober 12 years and have a good husband and 3 rotten but great boys. Our sister 5 years younger than I has not been so fortunate she takes heroin, meth, whatever. During funeral I had to stand behind her holding a fist full of hair to keep her from going on her face. She has two children one being raised by her ex boyfriend’s parents and they have no blood relation. Few months after the funeral via phone and the fit I had she went on a psych hold. She refused all treatment and two days after she got home called my saying she wanted to kill herself. I hit roof said enough is enough don’t call me until you do inpatient rehab and get clean. I failed to realize that that ultimatum only works if you have a good relationship with the user or at least something they need, and I had neither with her. We haven’t spoke since. Now thanks to my hubby’s need to social network with friends and family I learn that my brother has hopped aboard the short bus. He is on probation for open container and pot seeds or papers that he says he didnt even know he had cause his truck is messy (yeah right lying buttmunch), the open container I think was what he was hung with in the end -I think. Anyway Sat he and his live in girlfriend had a few friends over. He was in his shop building and she and the few friends where in the house. Someone at some point call police saying that there was a party kids drinking, and way too much noise. Cops had one of the over 21 friend call my brother and told him to get to the house so they could talk to him. He gets there and of course they arrest the moron. He says they didn’t arrest everyone (like it matters). Oh and then says that more contributing to the delinquency chargers are coming the just couldn’t fill one out for each minor because they ran out of the slips. So I ask how many charges because how the frick can they run out of those pads those things are thick. 32! @$ %#! Oh and that doesn’t cover everything he is to be charged with. If 32 kids under 21 is a few friends hanging out I would hate to see what qualifies as a party! Then he had the nerve to say the silver lining was the 18 yr old live in girl friend didn’t get caught or charged. Well whoopee fricking doo why didn’t ya just say that in the first place relax you are saved, ugh idiot! He is still on probation for the last charge and there may have been one before that but it may have been juvenile offense and not on his record I am not sure. Have crap comes out of retarded out are lies. So with from now to Sept left on his probation and I am guessing this stunt may revoke that. 32 misdemeanor contributing to a minor counts. He was charged misdemeanor instead of felony because he told the cops he didn’t know they where drinking but it was in his house on his property so with his own words he admitted what he did to deserve the misdemeanor counts. Yet he insists he is going to fight it because he didn’t do anything wrong. The window licker hasn’t even been 21 for a month yet and he has screwed himself. This took place in Arkansas I live in Ohio now so I have no idea what I need to do to help him from this far away. I promised my father I would be there for them his biggest fear was stuff like this happening to his kids and he had so many regrets. So I guess based on what I mentioned above I need a ball park on what kind of time he may be serving and what fines he will be facing. What if anything should I do to help him? What should I do for my sister obviously that whole call me after treatment was not the best idea. I was younger than they are when I used drugs and drank, and I never got caught (miracle I didn’t), and when I quit I didn’t go to any rehab 12 step etc I just quit. I know that is almost unheard of but I was blessed enough for me to be one of the few. Any advice is appreciated. I am open to just about anything at this point.
