    I didn’t say that she shouldn’t be rough with her, but if this is an
    accurate representation of how Ms. Sullivan disciplined Helen.

    You have to remember, Annie was just 20 (she turned 21 shortly after the
    miracle) and she had been blind in childhood, so she knew what worked best
    for her. She had to be tough with Helen to undo 7 years of coddling and
    getting her way.

    That dinner is weird. Couldn’t they have just kept Helen in the kitchen and
    let her eat later? Anne Sullivan is brave though, to talk to her employers
    like that

    Oh Helen, this was on TV a couple weeks ago! I hadn’t seen it for years. It
    was so wonderful to watch it again! Truly one of the best movies made. I
    was thinking of you when watching you and how thankful I am that you have
    shared so many wonderful video’s of her in real life. Thank you.. and God

    always be one of my favorite movies. Even if I wasn’t a Helen Keller fan.

    used to enjoy the “Patty Duke show” also. Even though I knew that Patty and
    Kathy were the same person….I still thought they were really twins…in
    the back of my mind. I also enjoyed Anne Bancroft as the teacher on “The
