I know in the Alexandria area there is a state program called Crossroads that is for teens and adults. I also think a judge can assign a man to Crossroads, I don’t know if you can qualify any way. You might want to check it out.

Here is a link to several rehabs in Virginia. I’m not sure which ones accepts state aid. Depending on your brothers financial state, he may qualify for temporary state medical aid. Also, for any recovery to truly happen, your brother has to want help himself. We can threaten, scream, beg, plead, throw them in jail, but addicts will not start to recover until they come to their own decision to do so.

I would also suggest you check out Naranon or Alanon, addiction is a family disease that involves everyone, not just those addicted to alcohol or other drugs.
