Can a Rehab Require You to Appear in Public at a Fundraising Event?

Question by Curious Bob: Can a rehab require you to appear in public at a fundraising event?
I work in a non-profit men’s drug and alcohol rehab facility in Georgia. The men are occasionally required to sing in a choir and participate in fund raising events. Does this violate any laws regarding confidentiality or right to privacy and if so what law(s) specifically.
Their refusal would mean expulsion from the program.

They can always refuse.

Rehab is basically prison by a different name. But instead of being rehabilitated for crimes, they are being rehabilitated for drugs. They have few rights if any. If they violate the rules, they get kicked out, simple as that. Of course in ‘real’ prison you don’t get ‘kicked out’ for screwing up. LOL!
