    He has interesting points but misses the mark a bit on the idea of a higher
    power. If you turn your will over to a higher power of your understanding
    (in the language of the Twelve Steps), that can be the same as saying that
    a part of yourself cannot be trusted and that you need to rely on a higher
    power to help with that part (a.k.a. present self or addict), but not that
    you as a whole person cannot be trusted. It’s just a different way of
    allocating trust, and it works for some people.?

    He really knows how to be in-depth about addiction; objective vs subjective
    and physically combined with mentally, (no nature vs nurture but combining
    the 2 as they should be). I think he’s an inspiration to those out there
    who may be “functional addicts”, as well as all the medical doctors,
    counselors, psychologists, neuroscientists, and patients who wish to read
    the other field on a universal level that is simple enough one might
    understand the other.
