Job as a Social Worker?
Question by Vee: Job as a Social Worker?
I’m currently a psychology major, but I really think I want to be a social worker instead of a psychologist.
Is that a good idea? Which job is there a better chance of getting in NY

Pay, for one.
Most social workers I know, and I do know a few being we went through the adoption process in foster care, are talented people with great hearts that want to help rather than make a boatload of money.
Now, they’re not poor people, but they do not make as much as a psychologist with their own practice that can charge more money per hour. Social workers are paid by the hour, or salaried.
Just food for thought.

you r right to be social worker, but also keep in mind the earning aspects. in future it can create some problems but if u think that that will be all right then go for it. after all if u r satisfied with ur work then it dosent matter about the world. so good luck…….:)
